The Interim Chair of Huntingdonshire Green Party, Daniel Laycock has called on members to help shape the future of the local party by attending a formal meeting and AGM of local Green Party.
With the Local Party not being active in the past year, Daniel said "We would like all members, whether you have recently joined the party in recent days or weeks, or if you have been a member of the party for years. We want everyone to be involved and shape the local party, so we can campaign on local issues, select candidates to stand in Town, District and County Council elections, to vote on policies locally and nationally at conference and to select our Prospective Parliamentary Candidates to fight in General Elections".
He continued "The Green Party has a great record of standing up and fighting for the electorate on many issues from climate change, environmental issues, and especially with the political climate at this time on Brexit the Greens are fighting for the British public to have a People's Vote o the Withdrawal Agreement"
The formal meeting and AGM will be held on Wednesday, 30th January 2019 from 7pm at Huntingdonshire Community Church, where the AGM for members only will also be held and new officers will be elected to form the new Huntingdonshire Green Party Executive.
